Add the Arizona Abortion Access Act to the Ballot
Arizona for Abortion Access is a new political action committee focused on collecting petition signatures to place a ballot measure to adopt a constitutional amendment on the November 2024 ballot. The proposed amendment seeks to restore the right to access abortion up to the point of fetal viability, around 22 to 24 weeks of pregnancy, allowing flexibility in cases necessary to protect the life or well-being of the patient.
This is a big lift. About 500,000 signatures are needed statewide by July 3, 2024 to ensure the proposed amendment will be on the November 2024 ballot for voters to decide. LD17 Democrats are committed to securing about 50,000 signatures while we spread the word about the strong Democrats who are running for State Legislature in our district.
